West Ham United have confirmed that supporters will be required to prove they are free of Covid before being granted access to matches at the London Olympic Stadium this coming season.
Starting with immediate effect, anyone attending matches at the Stratford arena will be required to provide proof they have been vaccinated or taken a test within the preceding two days - else face being refused entry to the ground.
"Continuing to work in line with Premier League protocols and guidance, anyone attending a fixture should be prepared for a check of their Covid status whether that be by displaying proof of full vaccination or a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours prior to kick-off," West Ham said on Monday.
"Supporters should note a Covid certification check could become mandatory as of 1 October, as per an indication from the Government.
"The club encourages supporters to download the NHS app to demonstrate that status, as well as considering their journey to London Stadium, including arriving at least an hour before kick-off."

Just turn up at the ground, flash them your NHS app proof of vaccinations and in you go.

Going to be a bit of a pain for my dad to prove he is double jabbed, seen as he doesn't have a smartphone though.
What actually constitutes proof of a negative lateral flow test?

hahaha - so it's going to be like the Euros were, which means it's pretty much pointless.
You'll likely have to scan the QR code which are on the boxes of the test kits, and then you'll be asked if it was a negative result.

It was a fucking joke, my 4 year old daughters ticket worked so i pushed the turnstile round to let her in, then mine didn't fucking work so she was inside and i was stuck outside shouting at people to go and find a steward for me as i couldn't leave her

If they were really concerned about this, they'd be testing EVERYONE, surely?
You can still catch it, and carry it being double jabbed.

For those without smartphones, you can get a letter/certificate with a QR code from the NHS - call 119 and they'll send it out, free of charge.
Some countries have asked for this as proof over the app so it's worth having if you're planning on travelling any time soon.

You take a test and upload the result to the NHS site, then they send an e-mail. Replies completely on honesty.

They will have facial recognition within a year. Premier league already working on it. You will then be automatically banned if you are seen or detected as doing anything disapproved of. Its coming. Controlled sanitised environments and social credit. Of course loads will be banned in error but as long as they have your money then they wont care. If this is what you want to accept as your future then go for it.
This digital id and flawed health status nonsense disgusts me.

Ah yes, gotcha. You're right though. There is absolutely nothing to stop someone submitting a negative result, even if they actually test positive or don't even bother doing the test at all. All you need is the serial number of the kit.
More holes than a Swiss cheese in that one.
